    I love this idea!
    I ran an after-schools club which did exactly this at my placement school on PGCE last year. It was so so so much fun! I did it in conjunction with a school in Ireland - it was more to do with letter writing and improving literacy skills but the pupils were so thrilled to learn abit about one anothers cultures. Unfortunately I haven't been sucessful in securing a permanent position (yet) but when I do I will be very interested in this scheme. The one I started myself had the potential to become a regular pen-pal initiative that the pupils start in year 7 and continue right the way through their school years. Building friendships. Building futures.
    Great to see this happening!
