I'm permanently 'watching' every thread I reply on!

    Can anyone help? or @tes-Rosaline

I remember clicking on a thread, so I could 'watch' it, some time ago now.

However, ever since, everytime I look at a thread, a little pair of glasses appears, to indicate that I'm watching, even though I don't want to!

In addition, I'm getting hundreds of emails, detailing every time anyone replies to the said threads!

This isn't as big a problem as it could be, because the email address is for TES only.

I have tried numerous settings, etc and searched the help guides, but nothing I try works!

    Any ideas?

(ps I am extremely happy with this new site, and this is in no way any criticism!)

    Hello @cissy3

Firstly go to the drop down menu that appears when you hover over your avatar and click on alert preferences

Next select or deselect from the given options

Then go back to the drop down menu and select preferences

On this page you should be able to change your email notifications - deselect as I have in mine.

Any threads you're currently watching you can choose 'unwatch thread'

And to stop getting notifications when a new thread is started on a forum you can 'unwatch' the forum.

    Hope this helps! :)

P.S. The correct tag for Rosaline is @TES_Rosaline (there is an underscore after TES not a hyphen).

In fact, I've just checked, and it was in the 'preferences' section where the box was ticked for 'automatically watch threads'

Why didn't I think of that?

@marlin You're a star! (But now feel very silly )
