Well six months ago I asked for your experiences when applying for ill health retirement. Im 48 and have been teaching for getting on to 25 years though half of that has been fractional posts. In the last couple of weeks I have evwntually, after much sole searching and finally reaching acceptance, began the process. I have completed medical forms from GP and hospital which make for sad reading. Have forwarded other paperwork to my ex head and so the crossing fingers begins! I'll keep you updated.
Thanks for all previous advice and support

Have you heard about your ill health retirement yet? I'm about to start this process but scared and worried.
