IGCSE

Discussion in 'Independent' started by pookyrobin, Jan 16, 2011.

  1. Anyone else thinking of changing or who has changed to these recently? We are going to change to the science ones, following the latest b***s up by OFQAL of the science GCSE - particularly the coursework aspect.

  2. My school changed to the iGCSE from AQA before the end of the Christmas Term.

We've started out Year 9s on the course in all three Sciences. I teach Chemistry and content-wise there's not a huge difference, but obviously having paper 4,5 or 6 instead of the coursework is nice. So much less stress for marking/organising

  3. Probably should have mentioned *only* the Sciences have made the leap. The other departments are still with their respective boards
