IGCSE Core Single Science vs IGCSE Core Coordinated Science

I would like to get some feedback from experience (if you have taught both) as to which of these you think is the best option. Would you say Core Single Sciences are that much more challenging than Core Coordinated? I am concerned that some of the weakest students bomb in one of the sciences at coordinated science and end up getting lower than CC, when they may have achieved C's in Biology and Physics if doing the Core Single Science. Thanks for your input.

The single subject sciences IGCSEs have more content than the subject components of the coordinated science, which will impact on staffing, room allocation lab time and timetabling.
One option for lower ability students may be the combined science option.
