    Government wants IFL because it takes one less bit of work they should be doing in running the country. Fairly soon we will be paying for it too, like GTC is, so they will save the funding as well.
    We the teachers, have been sold the IFL because it will make us a profession - whatever that means. We have also been sold IFL because it will raise our image within the commuity. Hell! - the reason the public dosn't think much of us is because the politicians have been constantly telling them how **** education is, and "vote for me and I will put it right!"

    And whats more! Don't the IFL realise they are being set up as a bunch of patsies? Now the government et al, can happily blame the IFL for messing up FE, and absolve themselves of the responsibility!
