Beware. With your mother's maiden name and the name of your first pet, all of your accounts are now compromised.

There were two episodes on the Beyond Today podcast I listened to today, related to stuff that ought to be of concern to our government, and it might be doing something about, were it not being distracted by the Brexit nonsense. Here's one and you can follow the links to the other from it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/series:p06pzmr4/p07qtt13

The first was about the rapid rise in facial recognition technology and its implications for democracy. The second was about whether the rapid growth of artificaial intelligence and implication and the implications it has for us if it's use is allowed to be controlled.

It's stuff going on that ought to concern ebery one of us and is already affecting our daily lives, reducing the quality of them for no obvious gain to us.

Yet all the time the people who ought to be think about whether AI is good or bad for us are bogged down in dealing with solutions for Brexit, they aren't dealing with the other very real menaces that we potentially face. The stupiditidy of it being that if and when we leave the EU, we reduce the power we have of controlling how AI will be affecting our lives.

How remarkably unfun this forum is becoming.

2nd post in and someone prattling about Brexit.

Perhaps an AI has already emerged and is bamboozling us all by subtlely effecting elections and voting, Deliberately steering us into Brexit and the US into the nightmare of Trumpty dumpty.
Meanwhile the AI distributes itself and consolidates its power...
