    Missfisher:
I have already responded to your similar post on the MFL forum, suggesting that you might consider doing a case study of a MFL learner, or group of MFL learners, with a particular difficulty or difference rather than treat those classed as having SEN as being a homogeneous population of learners, which they're not. I maintain a bibliography of modern foreign languages and special educational needs on my website at
    http://www.specialeducationalneeds.com/mfl/biblio.doc
which might help you in your literature review and I may be able to make further suggestions if you opt for a topic in the MFL for SEN field. If your eventual dissertation comes within the purview of my bibliography, I'd be happy to list it.
