Ideas for an NVQ German lesson for OFSTED inspection?

Discussion in 'Ofsted inspections' started by adw8311, Jun 20, 2011.

  1. Please can anyone offer some advice? I'm a Science specialist teaching NVQ German to a low ability Year 10 group and there is a possibility that I could be observed by OFSTED this Thursday. The students have target grades ranging from G to B and I have no idea how to show that they are ALL making progress throughout the lesson. I also have about 2/3 of the class with dyslexia to some extene or another.
I am hoping to start formal emails with them so formal language is a must, but as they are low ability, speaking exercises are difficult to come by (but would be useful as they will have to do Voicemails at some point) and with them being Year 10, finding a way to motivate them can, on occasion, be beyond my reach!
Any help at all with this would be gratefully received - Thanks in advance :)
