Ideas for a maths/art project for display? Year 2

    You could look at the artwork of Kandinsky or Klee - plenty of examples on the internet. Name the shapes they can see in the pictures and go through the properties of these shapes etc. Then use shape templates to draw round and overlap. Colour/paint each individual section so that the colour of each section in not the same as an adjacent one. If using paint you could restrict them to the primary colours, black and white and get them to mix different colours using just these.
