ICE AGE (DVD) - Literacy

Discussion in 'English' started by jmassey1, Feb 1, 2011.

  1. The Yr1/2 children are looking at fire and ice as their creative curriculum topic. We have started to look at Ice Age DVD in Literacy. The children are low ability and are just about able to write captions and sentences. They are still practising their phonics sounds.
Are there any creative/visual literacy ideas i could use for this?Any display ideas?Activities?

    ANy help would be great!

  2. How about a timeline display that shows when the Ice Age movie was set in comparisaon to the dinosaurs and the present day. You could find some other events that could be displayed on the timeline and the students could create captioned for each event.
