I need some guidance about drop-in session, please

I have had a drop-in session in my new school. I think you are not meant to be told, but in my previous schools we used to be told about the window dates for drop-in sessions. And I have not been told previously of any possible drop-in windows in this school. My question is the following: is it legal to have a drop-in in your lesson without at least being told of the window dates? Thank you

Yes. The head, or anyone authorised by the head, can legally drop in any time. Your classroom isn't your private space!

The school may have a policy that covers drop ins. Check with your union rep.
