I got a job in Prague today!

Discussion in 'Teaching abroad' started by becky313, Jul 2, 2015.

  1. I've just been offered a post as a reception teacher at a British School in Prague.

Anyone been in this situation before? I'm so excited and can't wait to start the adventure. If anyone has any tips or experiences of what's involved in moving and living in Prague, any hints please let me know!

    Thanks

How exciting! Will this be your first time living/working abroad?

  3. I lived in America for a year as an Au Pair from2009-2010. So I feel a bit prepared, but not completely!

Yes, Praha is indeed.a lovely place. Mluvim Cesky strasne! The beer is great, but the cost of renting an apartment is rather high. It is also FREEZING in the winter.

Me too:) Sent a PM to Becky, and got a job in Prague - secondary, and offered last Friday. Eighth year of teaching overseas, but a new place is no less nerve-wracking for that ;)
