So Charles has tested positive...................
He'll be fine.
I hope so.
We do not need a constitutional crisis as well.
I don't *know* anyone who has it. He's the first.
I am truly sympathetic.
But why was someone with ‘slight symptoms’, and able to self isolate, tested?
Let us never pretend that there are things that money and position can't buy.
I wonder, why on earth they’ve advertised the fact that he’s been tested. I’d have thought the RF has had enough poor publicity this year.
Life is easier for some people. Life will be easier for Victoria Beckham's children than mine. That is just the way it is. But his body is the same as ours, and his mild symptoms could rapidly get worse and he could still die in the next few days. That is the hard cold reality, money or none.
According to the statement no special privileges. Given his age, over 70, he's in the vulnerable group
"The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire, where they met the criteria required for testing"
I suppose the irony would be for Charlie, after all his years of waiting for the crown, to succumb to the virus, when he is so near becoming king.
As Madonna tells us from her petal filled bath, "It's the great equaliser!"
Wise words Madge. Wise words. Interesting facial work, by the way.
Age (71). Symptomatic elderly are a priority for testing.
His unexplained absence from engagements would have caused all sort of speculation.
Nah, I bet you don't have blue blood.
Thank you for that
If it met the criteria for testing does that mean he's been hospitalised?
At least it explains why he's been holed up in Scotland.
I wish him a swift recovery as I would wish any other person who is sick.
No, the majority of those tested positive do not need to be hospitalised. It is mainly those who also have underlying health conditions as well as covid-19 that need to go to hospital. Reports say Prince Charles is carrying on working at his desk.
He will be given the machine that goes 'ping'. He is not going to be told complications or worse are 'sorry, just down to age'. (Not meant as an attack on the NHS, they are doing all they can and more....but it is what it is)
It will be helpful when the tests are available so you can check if you have had the virus - quite a few of us have and without knowing it as we just felt run down for a day or so.
Those people should have decent immunity and could be used to get the country going again.
In theory at least.
