How to deal with ethnic slurs?

    Do not tolerate it or explain nicely to them. Like any other insult or swearing or homophobic comments (including 'that's really gay') they need to know that it is not proper behaviour. Explain to the class that they will be punished if they continue to do this and them come down hard on the first one. This will guaruntee that you will nip this bad habit in the bud.
