How soon is too soon to be wanting to find a new job?

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by midge49, Feb 19, 2012.

  1. Hello,
Just wondering the above question really. I would like to move on, but I'm very aware that I've only been in my current post 2 years.
    Thanks

By two years - do you mean 1.5 or 2.5 years? Since we are half-way through the year, it might mean one of those as well as actually 2 years.
But even if it means 1.5, it is likely to mean 2 years anyway by the time you apply and get a job (you are unlikely to be offered a job in time to resign by 29 Feb [IMG] ).
Two years is not too bad. Just make sure that you have a good reason for moving on (and it can be a professional or a personal one), and that your application is spot on.

    Best Sunday wishes.

  3. Thank you very much, it will indeed be 2.5 years!
You have given me that little boost in now feeling I do stand a chance out there in the jobs field so thank you.
