You've been told a thousand times: wash your hands to stop the spread of COVID-19. But why does this work so well? It has to do with the way the soap molecules are able to absolutely demolish viruses, like the coronavirus.

    Washing up liquid is good.
When I was a kid it used to dry your hands out really badly - only Fairly Liquid had "Now hands that do dishes can feel soft as your face, with mild green Fairy Liquid."
They all seem to have emolients in now though so I often use it. Others may find it's an irritant perhaps.

Also works for enterovirus and others because they're lipid encapsulated, but not protein encapsulated viroids like norovirus.
