How much experience?

    I think if you read through other threads asking a similar question you will see that there is no magic number before moving up to AHT. For me, I spent five years as a HOY before making the move to AHT. With hindsight, a few years as a HOD would have benefited me, and I would say don't be in any rush to move up as it's not easy!!
