How many ways do you differentiate?

I'm sitting here doing planning and just struggling with doing 4 different levels of (colour coded) "I can" statements/success criteria or whatever phrase you use. How much differentiation do you do?

And btw...what's the value of this anyway? I know everyone can't do exactly the same work but 4 levels?

Within the adult outside world there are things I explain in simple terms and things I attempt a more complex discussion of. Why would school be less important?

Thank heavens I don't have to do that c rap any more.

In the olden days,(croaky old-person voice) it was taken as read that you, as the teacher, would bloody well know what they'd be capable of, without having to write it out in triplicate for spurious reasons imo.

I would use badger -girl's model, and then embellish.

*All will pick their nose using rudimental methods.
*Most will use a finger as a basic scraping tool
*Some will use the end of their finger (possibly the fingernail itself) to be *able to remove an obstacle (to be hereforthwith known as snot)
*An exceptional few will flick the contents with some accuracy towards a given target (groupwork)

Extension activity: (I won't write further, for fear of offending!)

    My sympathies @snowflakesfalling

    Here is further help!

Zero... but I'm very skilled at hiding it.

Or 1 "I can..." and 4 different levels of support.
