I wondered if you could help me with this question, the pe department in my school have never taken on anybody in a gtp role so they asked me to show them how and why paying to train me up for a year would be beneficial to the school and there department?

Its rather worrying they ask you this question now Iwould have expected them to think this through before committing to the GTP. Overall GTP provides a training option for a Department to ensure they can mould a teacher to suit their school/pupils. Teaching others is always a greater thrill!
