How does this work then?

So... I log on this morning to see that I have amassed a rather pleasing 17,000 'likes' plus around 20 extra.

I faff around on the board a bit, go away to do some work, come back 3 hours later to find that around 45 'likes' have disappeared.

How does that work? Does it mean that someone has assiduously gone through my posts and 'unliked' everything? Or has a thread been pulled whereon my contributions were somewhat generously 'liked'? Or perhaps another tesser who was liberal with the accolades has been removed, along with all their likey ticks?

Or.... perhaps my results have been downgraded along with A level results, because I'm not posh enough?

Losing likes happens when threads are removed, so it may be you accrued a lot of likes on a thread that someone complained about.

Generally you only lose them when a thread has been pulled.

I'm just amused that posters count their "likes". ;)

Maybe somebody gone back in time and altered the future?

Anyway, I can't hang around blathering - I need to find my passport for tomorrow's trip to Scotland.

I don't exactly count them so much as notice when it's a rather satisfying round number... and now it isn't.

Little things. I like that people like my posts and that the likes are more than 25% higher than my post number.

    You're doing this all wrong!
The only way to politely rake in the likes is this-

But if the 'He's took my daughter' thread goes, I think I'll be down to about 12 'likes'!

I aim to give more likes than I receive, but its hard to keep count of given likes.

@tes moderators - please count our given likes too :)
