How do you support your staff?

    Opportunities to lead on projects (ecat, ecaw,ecar,ecc) so they develop leadership school wide and beyond, opportunities to showcase their teaching with schools in need of support, coaching and mentoring colleagues in school and beyond. Opportunities to undertake further study such as masters, PhDs. Also linking performance management to a key area of leadership development .
     
  4. How we support our senior leaders. No. How do you support your head teacher. You should see what needs doing, then do it - without being told to, or asked. Whole school leadership is whole school responsibility.

Through PM, using the standards, coaching/mentoring through key projects at whole school/phase level, enabling phase leaders to make decisions and then supporting them, esp when maybe the decision could have been a better one, opportunities to shadow, take to key meetings, agree appropriate opportunities ref courses/training, work with other schools to lead projects/observe practice/shadow, work alongside others so as to articulate their work/decision making processes, spend time talking with them to understand their aspirations and agree ways to meet needs, genuine distributed leadership, trying to be someone who can be learnt from
