I'm struggling with the shout thing. Maybe I'll have another go when I have more time.
2.
SHOUT
- did I say that loud enough?
3. Apparently not!
4. You have to replace the square brackets with the pointy things.

<H1> shout H1> there does that do it?
6. Ruthie66

no still can't do it!
7. <h1>shout</h1> there does that do it?

You have a space before the s, remove it and it should work (fingers crossed). And you need the pointy bits around the second bit and the slash to close.
8. You'd think I'd been doing it for years, hahahahahahaha.

I still can't get links to work.

Any good?
12. Well I guess that's 1/2 right - any idea why the H1 is still there?
13. You need the pointy thing going left between your exclamation mark and the H.

Sorry cq, let's see if you understand better if I shout it:

<h1>[a href="URL"]link text[/a]</h1>

Remember to use the pointy things instead of the square brackets, and to enclose the URL in quotation marks.

By way of explanation, the pointy things enclose HTML tags which give text formatting instructions to the web browser.
