    How do the teaching targets you set yourself help you develop as a teacher?

    Perhaps if you set yourself the target of doing your own research and reflection you might gain some understanding of the idea?

    They don't. I develop as a teacher through the experiences that I share with my students, colleagues and bosses (good and bad) and these inform my targets.
