How can you tell that stitches are ready to be removed on a wirst?

I had gotten into a car accident and received a gash on my wrist. I had gotten stitches 7 days ago and i was looking at them tonight trying to figure out if they're ready to be removed or not. There are 4 of them and only one little section still has a little gap between the skin like it has not healed yet, but the sections between the other three are sealed up. Can anyone give me an idea?
