Holiday work

Discussion in 'Pay and conditions' started by hadron, Jan 17, 2011.

  1. Check your contract. I would have though you could rely on the 'published' school dates but you never know, particularly with independent schools - they seem to pepper the calendar with INSET days, although they are generally published 12 months in advance.
  2. STPCD is clear on this. You must be available for work on 195 days of the year. Any other hours you work may not be specified by your employer.
In short, you can't be instructed to attend work during non term time.
