History PGCE Interview help

    Hello,

I went for an interview for History PGCE training at Bath Spa and was unsuccessful. The feedback said I needed 'a greater understanding of the broader picture of History teaching'. Has anyone got any suggestions on how I could demonstrate this better in my next interview? And any advice in general for the interview process? Feeling very disheartened as feel I do have a lot of knowledge of History teaching and and determined to get onto a course!

Could you go back to Bath Spa and thank them for their feedback, but could they elaborate on what they mean by ' a greater understanding of the broader picture of History teaching'. Just politely ask them to give you a general direction of what you need to do.

If you are determined, you will eventually make it to your destination.
