History PGCE interview at Chichester

Discussion in 'Thinking of teaching' started by b_p_cleaver, Jan 24, 2010.

  1. I have been offered an interview for a PGCE in History at Chichester Uni and have been given a scenario in which to engage in a group discussion. The scenario is that whilst teaching a class a pupil challenges the teacher with the question 'What is the point of doing History?' and I have to come up with a response deciding the age and ability of the pupils and how this would affect my response. Any suggestions on how to respond? Also any other general interview advice would also be much appreciated!
