Hi, I've been looking through the Scholastic book 'Dinosaurs' and see a suggestion for making dinosaur eggs out of plasticene. I can't see from the description how they make the hinge, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions...
The idea is to make two hollow plasticene ovals and then hinge them together so a baby dinosaur can be placed inside.
    Please help! :'-(

  3. Could you cover a plastic hinged egg inside and out with plasticine? I can't think how you could make a hinge to hold plasticine together. I will keep thinking. Eve

Wouldn't it be better to make the egg out of papier mache formed around a large balloon? The hinge could then be made out of strong paper or fabric stapled on.
