Hi, what are people's opinions of using a hessian/neutral background for their display boards in EYFS? I'm thinking about using them for my classroom next year.

Would brown parcel-type paper be just as effective as hessian?

No idea but we have brown parcel paper and black borders. I was sceptical (being a fan of pastels for many years) but it is lovely. The work really stands out.

I wouldn't want hessian in a million years.
