Help with Rapid mini-light rainbow LED kit please

Does anyone have any experience using this?

I bought a class set for a simple introduction to electronics as there's no soldering required. However, both myself and another teacher can't seem to get the bloomin' thing to work. The instructions supplied by rapid are not clear and we can't work out how you make the switch. From the looks of things the LED slots into some plasazote foam and the button cells go in a space in the middle of it.

Any help would be fantastic please as we are just about ready to pull our hair out!

    Thanks in advance.

I would imagine the LED leads go on either side of the piece of foam so when you squeeze the device the leads make contact with the batteries

That would make sense. I feel rather stupid now! Thank you

I wouldn't worry too much. If you are not used to doing this sort of thing the instructions aren't that clear
