Yes, that's just about spot on! Has worked really well in the last few years I've been doing it.
We use the planet suite by holst, each planet has it's own piece of music and the children work in small groups to prepare a dance in response to how the music makes them feel, mood etc
I have a unit of work for dance based on the solar system. PM me with your email & I'd be happy to forward it to you.
I guess it would depend on your class and the tendency they do/don't have to be silly - but you could possibly get some work out of the idea of interrelated orbits and rotations? Not that I would in a very silly-heavy class who'd just end up spinning around like loons - but in a more sensible bunch I would possibly try it.
