HELP SECONDARY ENGLISH TEACHERS...What authors and texts to the kids seem to like best?

    Have a look at the Carnegie award website.....it's a comp involving kids across the country...got to read and review 6 or 8 books.....I've read them along with the kids and found most of them enjoyable. It depends what is in the stock cupboard of what ever school you go to.....diff cultures is covered at KS4 in various anthologies.....as for Shakespeare plays......it depends on HOW you teach it.....do your fav and they will love it!!!! : )
