Help! Resources needed for new GCSE RE Edexcel Spec B

    Hi everyone,

I desperately need help preparing the new GCSE RE course for the start of the new year.

I was appointed as Head of RE in the last week of term and was told to plan and resource the new RE specification for September.

As a history specialist I don't have a whole lot of resources to draw on. I've been told to prepare Christianity for Paper 1 and Islam for Paper 2.

I've downloaded the sample material on the Edexcel wed site, but it doesn't really include any resources.

Does anyone have any resources they can share with me, or if you know of a good website or the name of a contact who might be able to help then that would be fantastic.

    Thanks
    Bob

    Hi Bob

If you are a Facebook user, we have a closed group for RS teachers where we share resources and teaching ideas for lots of different things. There are resources to be shared on this shared group drop box. Hope this helps. Mikaela

Hi Bob- are you still looking for resources? I have some available for the Islam 2 paper. DM me your e-mail address and I'll send them over.

I have planned the first Christian belief topic. The thing I am struggling with is with the mark schemes and teaching my students what they want and how many points they need to make. This is mainly for the a level though.
