Help relocating and interview

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by beckyboo1234, Jan 25, 2012.

  1. Hey all,

Ive finally got a interview down in Devon when currently Im living in the Midlands until Easter (hopefully) if I dotn get a job I have to stay up in the Midlands til the summer

Heads wouldn't be put off with the fact my address is still so far away???

Anyway Ive got to teach a mixed FS/ Year 1 literacy lesson for 30 mins and im stuck as how to manage my activities during that time? Should I have CI learning whist my YEar 1s are at a focussed activity, i just dont know. Ive taught Year 1 and EYFs but never mixed.
Should I treat it as a EYFS classroom with very bright high ability children in there?

    Sorry if im rambling :)

I can't help with pitch of the lesson but I wanted to congratuate you on your interview.
I don't think heads will be put off, the will assume you want to relocate I would imagine.
    Good luck x

Well done on getting that interview!
The distance will not be an issue - in fact if you lived say just an hour away, they might be worrying about a long daily commute in bad weather.
Do read the advice in the Interview clickables in the Welcome thread at the top of the page, and perhaps ask a specialist on Primary for their view on your specific question.
    Best wishes

I do Application and Interview one-to-ones, and also contribute to the Job Application Seminars. We look at application letters, executive summaries and interviews, with practical exercises that people really appreciate.
I shall be doing the Win That Teaching Job seminar on Saturday February 25th
