  1. Hello
I am looking for a statistic. I would like to know what % of students take Music at GCSE. I can find that GCSE Music equals 1% of all GCSEs taken and that between 1999 and 2007 the uptake of GCSE music was between 5 and 10% but I would like a figure for last year if possible.
If anybody could post a link to this information, I would appreciate it greatly!

  3. The JCQ website has some interesting statistics and publications, including a breakdown of results by gender. (just used some of them for a master?s project).

    Check out http://www.jcq.org.uk/national_results/gcses/

Direct link to last year's results:

    Hope it's useful!
  4. Sorry, formatting disappeared! The first link is the general one, the second is the direct to last year's results.
  5. Thank you both for your help, I have emailed the statistics people to see if they can tell me. All of the other links I had already found but unfortunately they do not tell me what I need to know.

I think that it's about 7ish percent, nationally. I remember looking in our school's RAISEonline document.

Your school should have one, and staff should be entitled to see it...
