    Hello,

    I
know this is a long shot as I am very aware that you are all extremely busy
people but I would be very grateful if anybody could offer any kind of advice
    or help!

    As
part of one of my final degree modules I am required to deliver an individual
    presentation.

    It
has been made clear that the presentation should be related to a current issue
in primary education but must be a professional issue rather than a National Curriculum
    subject:

    Guidance
says that this issue could be:

    • <li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:normal;"> an innovative idea to
      be used within a classroom/school

    • <li class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:normal;">address a national or global
issue and consider the impact on primary education.

    I am
struggling to come up with an innovative idea or even a starting point, as I am
worried about doing the presentation on a well known issue in primary education
as other students may do this.

    We have
been made aware that last years' students covered ideas such as; topic planning
and experiential learning and have been advised not to repeat these.

    Thank you for reading!

  2. Changes to the OFSTED regime?
Changes to the professional standards for teachers?
    Phonics assessment in KS1?
    Changes to KS2 writing assessments?
    Teachers' pension changes?
Changes planned in Nottingham City schools to move to a 5 term year?
    Academy status?
Job cuts at LEA level leaving schools without access to specialist support and training opportunites?
Read the TES or your Union magazine/newsletter - that should give you some ideas of issues and developments in education....
