Help please can you recommend a good book to read to my Year 4 class?

Discussion in 'Primary' started by Lost_in_Space, Sep 12, 2011.

  1. The have been read Tales of a fourth grade nothing by Judy Blume (They loved it) and Dinosaur Trouble - Dick KIng Smith - (OK)
    Thanks for your help.
  2. I read mine the Spiderwick Chronicles, which they loved and much better than the film.
Also read them the Butterfly Lion and Kaspar by Michael Morpurgo. They were a class that loved books, teaching them again as Yr6 and can't wait to read to them.

Got mine totally transfixed on 'Fantastic Mr Fox' (an oldy but a goody).
Then I've got 'Stig of the Dump' and 'Bill's New Frock' lined up.
    They're a Y3/4 mix.

Try 'The Angel of Nitshill Road' incorporates topic of bullying but in an amusing/worthwhile way.
There is also Hiccups and No13, The Stink or Frecklejuice. There is also another one something to do with a boy winning the lottery but I cannot think of the proper title - we actually had the author in school a few years ago - also a tale with a moral.
