  2. I linked in lots of geography map work with this topic. Children created a large 3D model of the island and created the buildings to add on, looked at real maps and symbols then created a4 maps of the island , linked to treasure maps for coordinates in math. Can't think what else at the moment but i agree they are not the most exciting stories.

    Look on ebay- there are several resource CDs on there- just the contents lists might give you ideas and they're reasonable prices for displays etc if you decide to buy.
