Help needed- Which country/job should I go for?? (Dubai/Abu Dhabi/Manila)

Discussion in 'Teaching overseas' started by vincent5, Feb 15, 2012.

  1. Never taught abroad before. 17 years teaching experience in London. Always wanted to teach abroad. Now seems like the right time....
Myself, my husband and our 8 year old.
I have basically applied for anything and everything... I have interviews (no offers as yet) for the Licensed Teaching Programme Abu Dhabi, an International school in Dubai and a 'start-up' school in Manila.
I am also waiting to hear from a start up school in Panama..... random locations I know!!!
Just wondering if anyone has any advice for a complete novice????

  3. If you get offered all of them, you have a decision to make.
If I was you and I was pretty happy with all the destinations and feedback from the schools so far (and more digging might have to be done to assess their qualities), I would take the first one to offer the job.
Getting posts abroad is not easy anymore.
