I have large GCSE/FS/Foundation resit maths classes. Abilities in each class range from 'can't read/recognise numbers' to 'GCSE grade 3'. Not much support in class. I am really struggling and would welcome any ideas.

This seems like an impossible situation. You could try posting on "Workplace Dilemmas" where you would be more likely to get some replies.

Can you not get cross - curricular support?
For example, if someone is studying Engineering, they should be able to share responsibility of learning!
Differentiation must be applied in this difficult scenario.
Show them why they need to succeed in GCSE Mathematics!
    Ask SMT for support.

I would highly recommend listening to a recent podcast where Craig Barton had a long chat with someone in a similar position to you, and she had a whole load of tips of where to find resources.

She gave a padlet with lots of resources that students could use on their phone.

    Hope that helps.
