Help - Ideas please

Discussion in 'Design and technology' started by kelleeblue, Feb 2, 2011.

  1. Hi,
Just started a Titanic topic which is great and the children really enjoy it. As part of the topic I need to cover Design and Technology linking it to pneumatics, hydralics and ICT. Would much appreciate any ideas, help or examples of planning.

  2. What about making it a bit of fun as a game type idea. Im thinking that you could build a model of the titanic with say the playing area on the top deck and when you land on certain squares you have to press a button that would activate a pneumatic/ hydraulic etc switch you could then build in as many or as little activation points. The final devive could be where the boat splits in two. the whole model could be mounted on a series of rams that could be progrmaaed to make it rock to and fro it simulate the sea.
This is just a thought and depends on the ability of the group etc and how much kit you have availible
