Help! How does notice work to start new job after Easter?

You give notice for the last day before you plan to start at your new school. Your old school will pay you until this day, your new one will pay you from the day you start there.
I'd suggest something along the lines of:
I give notice of my intention to resign at the end of this academic term. My new post begins on Tuesday 26th April, and hence my last day of employment at XX school will be Monday 25th April 2011.

  2. In my haste forget to read previous posts - particulary those on same page [IMG]
Followed your link Tafkam and think I would be right in putting 28th Feb to finish at the end of spring term - would that suffice?

You mean you need to resign by 28 Feb, yes?
  4. Thankyou Tafkam
