Help - headteacher pay - need advice now! PLEASE

    How can Governors change the range?
    I thought they could only offer 2 points above the lowest of the scale range?
    This would be a drop in salary a bit, but I'm hoping not too much! But yes would get the experience of HT.

    I'm sure the advice you've been given after my suggestion that Governors could raise the scale is correct. That said you only need to read the papers to see that Heads are in some cases being paid notably above the top of the top scale!
