Help! Eating Disorders Lesson

Discussion in 'Special educational needs' started by business teacher, Jan 31, 2012.

  1. Hi all, I need some help with resources/activities if possible for a lesson on eating disorders. Its with a group of 5 students in an EBD special school. We have (tried to) cover body image and healthy eating the last couple of weeks and now need to move onto eating disorders. They have a range of needs including ADD, ADHD, ASD, aspergers etc, range in age, but are mostly year 6 and 7, and ability ranges from non-reader, to able but unwilling!!! They are an interesting bunch!! I need to make the lesson engaging - video stimulus works well with them, as do games that open up discussion. Written work is a struggle, and reading is a real challenge for most of them! Any help, resources, suggestions much appreciated... lesson is next monday!!!

    Thank you!
