Help!!! - Are we allowed to hatch eggs for chicks anymore??

Discussion in 'Early Years' started by hannahhoneybear, Mar 21, 2006.

  1. Hi everyone

I hatched chicks last year and the children got loads out of it and loved every minute of it but I've moved schools and our science co-ordinator seems to think that we're not allowed because of salmonella!!! Does anyone know if there's any official guidance or advice on hatching eggs in schools??

    Thank you muchly!
