Headteacher Suspended for admitting some teachers are not working

On Zoom the host (i.e. the teacher) can and should mute all the participants and only unmute them to answer a question. This should largely get around the swearing. The host can also stop the video of anyone who is inappropriately dressed so that they won't be visible to anyone else.

If this school really exists you have to feel sorry for its employees.

However I'm sure that has no bearing on the headteacher in this case being quite rightly suspended by her governing body.

Just out of interest from the garbage that you and your alter egos have posted:
    1. Actively boasting about harassing female teachers from other schools.
    2. Increasing the opportunity for food poisoning with your catering policy.
    3. Having a recruitment policy that increases the chances of recruiting an Ian Huntley.
    4. Putting hidden cameras in all areas including staff toilets.
    5. Stating millions could be saved off the school budget by sacking the cleaners.

Can I ask how the above is innovation and effective change?

    Why not?

    such as?

Same as LA /MAT heads are accountable to Trust / Governors and seem to pretty much have authority to drive through innovation as they think fit...

At first I thought what an idiotic and plainly untrue comment.

Then I looked at who posted it.

    All is revealed.

Her resignation letter states that ‘there is an appetite for change from some staff’ and ‘so it seems a good time for a change in leadership’
Perhaps the teachers she is referring to as not doing much are the teachers who refused to toe the line with unrealistic work expectations! she sounds like a proper cow.

She sounds like a bully. I suspect the qualities and characteristics of anyone supporting her.

Why do you do this? Seriously, why? If I were to live a fantasy life, it would be as a Hollywood starlet or a rich kid of Instagram (whatever they are), but not as an assistant headteacher at a free school. And there have been a few others on here in these strange times who did not seem to be quite who they said they are (yes, Ms Deputy Head to the Stars, you). Sometimes it's entertaining, reading your posts. But quite often it's just annoying. Not clever, just annoying.

What an appalling allegation to make about @TheHeadteachersOffice. He's the imaginary Executive Headteacher of a non-existent free school, not a mere AHT. ;):D

Is there no limit to this orange lunatic's capacity for meddling in things he knows nothing about? Actually given his level of ignorance that's everything.

    From a letter to parents.

It has been brought to my attention that a minority of adults are using foul language in the EYFS drop-off areas.

    This will not be tolerated.

    Adults should know better!

If this does not cease, I will have no option but to spend money on audio-recording equipment and then ban offending adults from the premises.

The cost of such equipment will not be insignificant, and it is money which I would prefer to spend on your children."

Why have you never posted in the Headteachers, OFSTED, Leadership or Senior Leadership forums? As a Head, I would have thought that these would be your main ports of call.

And the obvious follow up question - why do you never answer this question, particularly as I have asked it at 3 different points now?

Surely a real headteacher would have an apostrophe in their name, in the correct place?

    Even a PE specialist.

From her letter to parents re resignation.

I believe there is also an appetite for change from some staff at Grange Park and so it seems a good time for a change in leadership. "

I would say that that indicates an unhappy ship.

Errm...what about all the furloughed people getting anywhere between 80% and 100% wages for REALLY doing nothing - and the self-employed with their £6000 payout for doing absolutely nothing (though I suspect a lot of them are working and never stopped)? Is anyone bashing them? I don't doubt that some teachers have done more than others. This is not news. And some schools have demanded more from their staff than others. Also not news. A very ill-judged comment and not helpful for abating the teacher-bashing media etc.
