Can anyone tell me when headteachers have to give their notice in if they are planning to retire?
  2. As I understand it, a month earlier than teachers. You are resigning. Therefore, end of Jan to leave at Easter, end of April to finish in the summer and end of September for a Christmas finish. However, to be fair to your school, in the present recruitment situation, as long as possible would be sensible. I plan to retire at the end of the summer term 2013 and have already communicated my intentions to my CoG.

I assume you're already aware of the notice you need to give the TPS?
