Head of Year / House interview

Discussion in 'Secondary' started by Glynnglynn, May 4, 2011.

  1. I am applying for a Head of Year post, which, as the school is moving towards vertical tutoring, will become a Head of House post in September. I am currently Head of Key Stage 4 for English and would really appreciate some advice on how to structure my application letter to suit the post, what sort of questions I could expect and how I should answer them. Thank you!

That all depends on the job description and person spec - you need to address each point, giving examples of your skills, qualities and experience that match you to the post.
Questions will similarly be related to the job description, your school's various policies, ECM, working with outside agencies, etc.
