Head of MFL Interview

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by katn506, Mar 25, 2012.

  1. I was wondering if anybody had any advice or possible questions I might be asked at an interview for a head of department role - and if they were specific to MFL that would be even better!
    Thanks

    Kat

They'll be mostly based on the job description and person specification, plus at least one about managing performance (which is probably part of the jd anyway) and safeguarding.

How would you encourage a teacher who was reluctant to use the TL?
Don't forget to read the interview clickables inside the Welcome thread for general tips - including the link inside one to Middlemarsh's tip on mind maps - loads of people find that helpful.

    What about
How would you support a colleague teaching a language of which you yourself have no knowledge?
What are you opinions of compulsory languages at KS4?
How would you motivate students last period of the day/ Friday last period?
What opinions do you have on sharing sets amongst all teaching staff?
    Best of luck with it?
